HealthCare USA, a division of Coventry Health Care is seeking a Provider Contracting Specialist to join our team in our downtown St. Louis, Kansas City, or Jefferson City location. HealthCare USA is a Medicaid HMO. Coventry Health Care is a national managed health care company providing a full range of risk and fee-based manged care products and services.
Coventry's Medicaid Division is committed to guiding our members in achieving better health outcomes, to serving our stakeholders with the highest levels of service, and to supporting our state customers in meeting their goals.
The Provider Contracting Specialist assists with managed care contracting with physicians and ancillary providers for all contracts pertaining to fully insured, Health Plan, PPO, corporate accounts, lease networks and workers’ compensation. Performs ongoing network analysis. Recruits and contracts with individual providers who meet established selection criteria to assure adequate geographic and specialty coverage. Makes recommendations for retention or delistment of providers.

Qualifications:
The successful incumbent will hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and previous experience in provider contract negotiation. Knowledge of managed care policy and direction and strong communication and negotiation skills.
